In evening time, our football field will be only for Big Guys, we can’t play football because the big guys are doing motorbike stunts inside, so we can only watch them.
I live in a neighborhood where motorcycle skill is the most fascinated thing over anything. The big guys will come with their girlfriends on the back and when its late they’ll go to restaurant and spend good times and close the day with joy.
I always imagine living my life like those big guys… then I had a dream, which was to buy a brand-new Honda CTX Motorcycle. I know it was very expensive and I’d be stupid to ask my dad for a new motorbike, because I know he is struggling to save for my college. However, it was fine for me. After all its just a dream of having something I really love, and is not a small dream that will come true for a day or two. Well, this was my thought at the time…
My parents were really depressed at our financial situation then, due to inflation prices were starting to increase, and living in India as lower-class family start to became more difficult. We were all worried for my education and I know how much they loved me… but now, the main struggle is to keep the food on the table, and pay monthly utility bills.
Four months later, the city taxi company where my dad was working turned bankrupt, so here we were with no income source and we must live on what my Dad saves for my college.
These were my parents’ hard times, and joyless times for me. I started looking desperately for how to help my dad for any possible job opportunity, I remember going to our local library to read job adverts on daily newspapers.
Another three weeks passed, and I was to abandon all hopes and dreams, when I came across a newspaper advert that require the applicants to apply online through their website. Immediately I came home and inform my dad about the job and what I have been doing to help him got another job. He was happy and he give me some money to buy internet modern, sim-card and subscription so we can use our home computer for the job application.
